Dr. Deisi Kusztra, WFO President and Mr. Bruno Ricardo Lopes, WFO Vice President for Financial Affairs were in NewYork and activelly participated in the HLPF and many different side events.

The High-level Political Forum on Sustainable Development is United Nations central platform for the follow-up and review of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development and the Sustainable Development Goals, adopted at the United Nations Sustainable Development Summit on 25 September 2015.

The Forum, which adopts a Ministerial Declaration, started effectively delivering on its mandates to provide political leadership, guidance and recommendations on the 2030 Agenda's implementation and follow-up; keeping track of progress; spur coherent policies informed by evidence, science and country experiences; as well as addressed new and emerging issues.

HLPF in 2016 was the first since the adoption of the 2030 Agenda and the SDGs. The session included voluntary reviews of 22 countries and thematic reviews of progress on the Sustainable Development Goals, including cross-cutting issues, supported by reviews by the ECOSOC functional commissions and other inter-governmental bodies and forums.

HLPF also included a range of side events, a Partnership Exchange event, and SDGs Learning, Training and Practice sessions.

For this year all the information regarding the Dorum can be conveniently found at the official High-level Political Forum on Sustainable Development App, available in the AppStore and Google Play:
