World Family Summit: A Legacy for the Future of Families
In order to attend the call of the UN Secretary General, Kofi Annan, for a very comprehensive celebration of the 10thAnniversary of the International Year of the Family in 2004, the World Family Organization, along with its affiliated members in 189 countries, as well as 127 Governments, took the initiative to call for a World Family Summit – WFS.
On September 25th, 2015, the countries adopted a set of global goals do end peoverty, protect the planet, and ensure prosperity for all as part of a new sustainable development agenda. Each goal has specific targets to be achieved over the next 15 years.
For the goals to be reached, everyone needs to do their part: governments, the private sector, civil society and people like you.
